About Mike
People lightheartedly say that some people cannot see the forest for the trees. But about Mike, who loves fishing and spending time in the great outdoors, people fondly say that he is inspired by the forests and trees: Mike looks at majestic beauties and thinks about the awe-inspiring indoor flooring spaces and staircases their wood can create.
Mike comes from a family that is involved in the construction business, with both his father and brother being skilled craftsmen. He began working in the field over 35 years ago, ultimately building and selling a successful demolition business before transitioning into general contracting concerns. Now, for the past 22 years, he has been focusing on perfecting the art of custom hardwood flooring and staircase work. His sole-proprietorship family-owned-and-operated business is his passion, and holds state licensure and insurance. What’s more, Mike is a member of the National Wood Flooring Association.
And when he’s not busy crafting or revamping existing woodwork to create gorgeous interiors, the majority of his free time is spent with his wife, Lorna, and his family. As the consummate outdoorsman and thrill seeker, his other outdoor activities include boating, skydiving, rock climbing, cliff jumping, bungee jumping, and his favorite pastime of riding a side-by-side throughout the hills of West Virginia.
